Funding Support to University-Industry Projects


Materials and Manufacturing Research Institute (MMRI) is offering seed funding to projects that aim to provide technical advice and innovation support to small and medium-sized enterprises in British Columbia (BC). The projects are expected to foster partnership development between companies and UBC researchers for both short and long-term joint activities.

Proposal submission:
• Deadline: Friday, January 17, 2020 (round 2).
• Application review and funding decision will be made within about a week after submission.
• Due to limited funding, early proposal submission is highly encouraged.

Funding availability: Maximum $5,000 per project.

UBC faculty members in collaboration with their industry partners are invited to submit their applications to this program. More information can be found in the documents below.
